We are sponsored by Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church.

Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting.

Since 1980, Pack 71 has helped hundreds of young boys and their parents as leaders enjoy and appreciate outdoor activities, learn about our community, make new friends, worship and play together, respect authority, and have  fun.

American Heritage Girls (AHG) is the premier national character development organization for young women that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement.

  • AHG’s mission is “building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.”
  • Troop AL-1128 was established at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church (Birmingham, AL) in June 2017. OLV’s AHG Troop AL-1128 offers girls opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith while learning new skills, serving others, enjoying the outdoors, and having fun with their friends.
  • The Troop holds meetings once a month on Sunday afternoons, and offers at least one additional troop activity per month.
  • Troop AL-1128 currently serves 29 girls, aged 5-14, from 23 families.
  • We are prepared to serve girls up to age 18, and with the continued support and prayers of the OLV community, we hope to expand our membership and program to build up even more young Catholic women of faith, strength, and character to be leaders in our parish and community.
  • Adult volunteer positions are available for both men and women.
