Music Ministry

Our church is blessed to have gifted singers and skillful instrumentalists, both professional and lay musicians, who participate in our ministry week after week. It is our goal to present music that glorifies, edifies, and ministers to the saints who worship with us.

"And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord" (Psalm 40:3).

Valley Worship Youth Band Information

We have an exciting new group of singers and a band forming to for our Youth Group folks to enjoy during meetings and, but more importantly, to help us celebrate at Mass!

If you are interested in joining, please contact Ms. Lauren Culotta at lculotta@olvsch.com or Mr. Woodard at mwoodard@olvsch.com.

Youth Ensemble Information

All students in the parish in Grades 8 through 12 are welcome and encouraged to join our Youth Ensemble. We rehearse on Sunday mornings before mass at 10:00 am when we are singing at 11:00 mass and at 8:00 am and 9:30 am when we sing at 8:30 am mass. We are currently singing approximately once per month at either the 5:00 pm or 11:00 am Mass on the weekend. We schedule rehearsals as needed to prepare for upcoming liturgies. Please check the parish bulletin and the choir website for the schedule. The Youth Ensemble is encouraged to sing with the Adult Choir at weekend Masses when they are not scheduled to sing at Mass as a Youth Ensemble. We believe in the active participation of young people in parish ministry and welcome the young people to join in singing as much as possible. Youth Ensemble members are also encouraged to attend Wednesday rehearsals with the Adult choir members as much as possible. Adult Choir Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings is from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Church.  Although attendance at Adult Choir Rehearsal is helpful, it is not a requirement for Youth Ensemble members, as many of them have CYO on Wednesday evenings and many demands on their time with their school activities. For more information or questions, please contact Lauren Culotta at the parish office: 991-5488 Ext. 4, or at lculotta@olvsch.com. Click here for the Youth Ensemble Memo
