The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For more than 100 years, Boy Scouts of America has helped build future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun.

Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting.

Since 1980, Pack 71 has helped hundreds of young boys and their parents as leaders enjoy and appreciate outdoor activities, learn about our community, make new friends, worship and play together, respect authority, and have  fun.

Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church is excited to announce a new ministry for girls through the American Heritage Girls scouting program.

American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a Christ-centered scouting organization that focuses on “building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.”  Scouting with OLV's newly chartered AHG troop will offer our young Catholic girls unique opportunities to grow in their faith while learning new skills, serving others, enjoying the outdoors, and having fun with their friends.  We humbly ask for the prayers and support of our church family as we establish this new Catholic Scouting tradition for our daughters. OLV AHG Troop #AL1128 is now accepting girl registrations for ages 5-18, and adult applications for leadership positions.
